IE8 crashes when scrolling inside jquery ui dialog

Jun 19, 2011 at 10:52 AM

The error is encountered when trying to host a dinner. On the popup form, fill out all the fields except the Meals field and click OK. You will encounter a message that says something about an auto-complete error.  This happens when the browser is not on full screen (restored down).

IE version is 8.0.6001

I tried this on IE9 (with IE8 mode on) and it doesn't happen,

what exactly does it says to you ?

I don't have the project opened right now but I did a quick check. I went to the live link (http://mrgsp.md:8080/ProDinner) and made sure my browser is restored down (not maximized). I then clicked on the "host a diner" button. On the popup form the Meal field is not shown as the browser is too small to show it. If you move the scrollbar on the browser, the first time, it redirected me to the home page. I did that the second time with the same result. On the third try, I got an error on IE and I am redirected here: res://ieframe.dll/acr_error.htm#mrgsp.md,http://mrgsp.md:8080/ProDinner. I think the error I encountered here is the same error I got on my first post.

Below is what is written on my browser.

When a website causes a failure or crash, Internet Explorer attempts to restore the site. It stops after two tries to avoid an endless loop.
